As our efforts and numbers increase, as is common with social media, so do the number of people who may wish to divide and distract the group.
In recent weeks, we have seen a large increase in fake accounts asking to join, comment, or soliciting participation in some way in our Facebook space. We do our best to identify these potential fake accounts, but as a small volunteer council, we may miss these as we focus on our efforts at hand.
We encourage you to interact with one another, and acknowledge that there may be other strategies than our approach. That said, please exercise reasonable caution when interacting, joining, or contributing to these people or groups. Read the details, ask questions, verify the legitimacy of the individuals or groups.
